Astrid and Peter had already been in love for many years, when they eventually tied the knot in Goldegg in Salzburg. Under the motto “The Wedding Weekend” they invited guests from all over Europe to celebrate their great day and Astrid’s birthday – wrapped into one big party.
The weather wasn’t too warm, but still, the guests took a refreshing swim in the lake before the start of the official wedding ceremony. The entire day was not determined by a tight schedule, the focus was rather on the flow of authentic emotions and the celebration of Peter and Astrid eventually becoming husband and wife.
The day started with the getting ready of the beautiful bride and a bottle of champagne. The ceremony was planned to take place in the beautiful garden of Goldegg Castle, including the baking of fresh bread in the outdoor oven. As it had rained hard the day before, the big moment was moved to the inside of the castle, which also offered a very romantic setting. The bread was still prepared and after having received all congratulations, hugs and kisses, it was shared among all guests. The afternoon went by very fast, children playing football and the guests enjoying the wonderful setting. After the wedding dinner, Peter’s brother surprised the newly-weds with a song he sang for them and a Big Band that he had organized. The band quickly turned the location into a concert hall and the happy spirit all people fulfilled the entire location.
It was a great day with an even greater party and it was a pleasure for me to be part of it. Astrid and Peter, you are great and I wish you all the best for your future!
